Russia to send application to UN to expand Arctic shelf

Data collected by Russia over the period of Arctic research is sufficient for sending an updated application for the expansion of the Arctic shelf to the UN Commission on the Limits of the Continental Shelf, the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment reports.
